Install day with a Frame
The Frame ships with its own slim-fit wall bracket, and that bracket is what makes the flush look work, so we install it rather than substituting a generic mount. On drywall it gets lagged into studs at the exact height you approve from seating. The panel clips on, the magnetic bezel snaps over, and the whole thing sits within a finger’s width of the wall.
The single One Connect cable is the only wire, and it is the whole reason the install looks clean or does not. We fish it through the wall to the breakout box in a console or cabinet wherever the framing allows, then power up, run the bezel alignment, and set Art Mode before we pack up.
Frame over a fireplace or on stone: what changes
The slim bracket assumes a flat, plumb surface. Brick and stacked stone are neither. On those walls we mount the bracket to a trued set of standoffs or a thin backer plate anchored into the masonry, then shim until a straightedge reads flat across the whole footprint. The panel ends up sitting flush and square even though the wall behind it is not.
Above a fireplace we also apply the same heat check as any other mount. A Frame spends most of its day powered on in Art Mode, so the clearance above a mantel matters more, not less. The wiring on masonry follows a painted channel along a mortar line to the nearest drywall or console, since the One Connect cable cannot be fished through stone.
Art Mode and the One Connect box, set up properly
A Frame that reads as a print is mostly about light. We set the ambient brightness and color tone sensors so the artwork dims with the room in the evening and does not glow like a monitor. Motion detection is tuned so it wakes when someone walks in and sleeps when the room is empty, which also keeps the panel cooler over a fireplace.
The One Connect box needs a little air and a reachable spot for the HDMI inputs. We place it where the cable length allows and where you will not have to move furniture to plug in a console. If the box has to live farther away than the stock cable reaches, we will say so before the visit so the longer cable is on hand.
