What we find behind the walls in Westlake Hills & Rollingwood
West Lake Hills and Rollingwood are both their own incorporated cities, tucked between MoPac and Loop 360, and the housing runs from 1960s ranches on big lots to recent full-custom builds. What ties the area together for us is the fireplace. Floor-to-ceiling Hill Country limestone and stacked-stone surrounds are standard here, often with a cedar mantel and a great room that opens to a vaulted or beamed ceiling. That is the combination that sends a generalist crew away and keeps ours busy.
On limestone we drill slowly with diamond bits and dust extraction, then set epoxy anchors rather than expansion anchors, because the stone is too variable for anything that relies on friction. Tall walls usually mean the TV has to sit above the mantel and tilt down, or drop on a motorized mount, and the cabling has to reach an outlet that was not planned with a television in mind. Many of these homes sit on steep, winding drives with limited turnaround, so we confirm truck access and send a heads-up text before we arrive.
